#BadassBudgeting Tip of the Day: Negotiate Down Your Monthly Expenses Every 6 Months

Cell phone plan. Internet. Cable.

Have you ever called your cell phone or cable provider and negotiated down your monthly bills? It pays to take the time out of our busy days to call our cell phone or cable provider and ask if there are any current promotions or deals that can be applied to our accounts to save money.

I have called my cell phone and cable provider in the past and let them know that I had a change in circumstances and that it required that I pay less on my cell phone / cable bill if I could and the representatives I got on the other end of the line were always really good about looking into promotions and deals that could be applied to my account. It helps that a lot of the companies I support pride themselves on customer service so regularly have customer service surveys that go out to their customers after their interactions with said company. Since most employees are wanting a positive review of their services and advice, they will do a good job in fulfilling your request or answering your query to a more-than-satisfactory level.

I encourage you to give it a try negotiating down your cell phone, internet and cable bills once every 6 months or at the very least, once per year. Let me know how it goes in the comments below. Signed, Filipina Budget Girl.
