Personally, I think that people can save as much as they can but that at the end of the day, we have inflation to compete with. Inflation is the general increase in prices and fall in the purchasing power of money (Oxford Dictionary, 2022). We can save as much as we can but saving, alone, is not enough to beat inflation and the rising cost of goods.
What can we do to help beat inflation? Save. Invest. Diversify investments. Negotiate higher salaries. Price compare. Do it yourself around the house and home.
